Mt. Bulusan of Philippines Erupted Twice in One Day

A Philippine Volcano called Mount Bulusan just erupted twice in 24 hours. It is located about 249 kilometers (155 miles) southeast of Manila. Alert Level 1 had been has been declared and it would mean a warning to the nearby villagers to stay away from the 4-kilometer “permanent danger zone” because of possible steam and ash explosions.

The resident were also warned that a possible flood has been expected if the heavy pouring rain would push sediment-filled streams out of their banks. Fortunately, the surrounding place of the volcano is rural ans the nearest village is out of the 4-kilometer “permanent danger zone” and its eruption has little a minimal threat. This is according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOCS). They also recorded the latest eruption which took place at the dawn of Sunday and lasted for about 20 minutes.

Residents should keep watch and should be updating themselves to avoid the impending danger. The PHILVOCS is closely monitoring the volcano’s activity as of the moment and has been keeping the public updated. No casualties has been reported yet.
